Rutherford County is growing fast. That growth brings opportunity but it also brings pressure on the families and working people who call it home.
I believe every decision at the commission table should answer one question: does this make life better for everyday people?
It also means keeping an eye on what is coming. Data centers, artificial intelligence, and rapid technological change are reshaping communities across the country. Rutherford County needs leaders who are paying attention, asking the right questions, and making sure our residents benefit from progress rather than being left behind by it.
These are not partisan issues. They are people issues. And they are exactly what I am running to address.
Prepared.
Our weather is changing. From extreme cold and heat to flooding and devastating tornadoes, Rutherford County families deserve to know their community is ready when it matters most.
As a former firefighter and EMT, emergency preparedness is personal to me. One of my priorities is ensuring our emergency services have the resources, training, and support needed to handle large scale weather events effectively.
I also believe we need designated county facilities available to residents during extreme heat and cold, so that no neighbor in District 18 is left without a safe place to go when severe weather strikes.
People-Focused.
I believe good leadership serves everyone at the table, especially the working families and everyday residents who are too often the last ones considered. That is the standard I will hold myself to as your commissioner.
Solutions Oriented.
Affordable groceries and housing are kitchen table issues for nearly every family in Rutherford County. I am committed to exploring every available tool, partnership, and funding opportunity to make groceries and housing more within reach for working families. No idea is off the table if it puts people first.
FAQ
Do you support the development of AI Data Centers here in Rutherford?
No. If data centers didn’t pollute our air, consume gigantic amounts of our water, drain our power grid and create noise pollution, I’d reconsider.
What About the Landfill?
We need an alternative solution to the Middle Point landfill so it can be closed. I am eager to explore long term solutions that will best serve our county.
